Always up-to-date and efficient equipment at the plants of ECTOS Group

On July 24, 2020, after modernization, the ventilation cooling tower was put into operation.

In the OJSC ECTOS-Volga shops involved in MTBE production, there is heat exchange equipment that operates with the use of recycled industrial water. The efficiency of this equipment operation directly depends on the water temperature and its compliance with the regulatory technological parameters. Four SK-400 type fan cooling towers operate at the enterprise, their main target is to cool the recycled industrial water supplied.

Between January and July 2020, LLC Kaskad carried out restoration of VG-1 fan cooling tower. The basin was repaired; the metal body, the diffuser, the confuser, the water distribution system, the sprinklers, the water catchers, and the fan system were completely replaced. The new materials that have been used are more advanced, and the steel structures are made of galvanized metal which increases the cooling tower service life.

VG-1 cooling tower putting into operation took place on July 24, 2020, after 72 hours of running tests. Today VG-1 cooling tower shows good results in water cooling: with average flow rate of 3000 m3/hour the temperature difference is up to 6 degrees. Currently, VG-1 is in operation and that allows ensuring that the required temperature parameters are maintained in the plant water circulation system.
