JSC «Uralorgsintez» and OJSC «EKTOS-Volga» — 55 years anniversary celebration

JSC «Uralorgsintez» and OJSC «EKTOS-Volga» are the parts of «EKTOS» Group.

In early November 2019 OJSC «EKTOS-Volga» (city of Volzhskiy) and JSC «Uralorgsintez» (city of Chaikovskiy) celebrated the 55 years anniversaries from the day of the first production. Special events took place in honor of this occasion. Warm words of congratulations, unique pictures from the history of the enterprises and workdays of the facilities today, honoring of the workers, exclusive shows using modern technologies, the performance of the bands «Gorod 312» and «Bravo» and the festive fireworks created a bright and unforgettable holiday atmosphere. Co-workers, partners and friends arrived to congratulate the staff members.

25 employees were awarded with the Badge of Honor of «EKTOS» Group at the solemn ceremony. The certificates of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation were handed to the 6th class synthesis engineer of the I-6 workshop Tatyana Anatolyevna Shlykova and to the 5th class pumper of the 28-47 department of the energy production workshop Liliya Nikolaevna Mazitova. All awarded employees made a significant contribution to the development of production, the preservation and strengthening of labor discipline and factory traditions.

Now let’s remember how it all started.

In December 1958 the USSR Council of Ministers resolved to build an isoprene rubber plant in Volzhskiy. And on November 4, 1964 the first rubber briquette came off the assembly line of the finished goods workshop. This day is considered to be the plant’s birthday. Over the next thirty years the enterprise has been developing, increasing the production capacity and expanding the range of produced rubbers. Since May 2001, after the restoration works the first, long-awaited marketable product was obtained — methyl tertiary butyl ether. On September 24, 2010 the enterprise became a part of «EKTOS» Group.

The history of JSC «Uralorgsintez» starts in 1964. Several years later, in 1968 the first marketable products were produced — wooden and metal containers. When the central gas fractionation unit for the processing of a wide fraction of light hydrocarbons was launched (in 1979), the plant became “active”; the history of Tchaikovsky petrochemistry began. The half-century history of the enterprise comprises of the periods of stable progressive development, a short suspension of production and further systematic strengthening of its position in the petrochemical products market. At all times the plant stayed true to its traditions both in industry and in partner relationship. Over the next years the enterprise became a profitable and effective business entity due to further reconstruction measures and production development.

Today OJSC «EKTOS-Volga» is keeping in step with times producing high-quality goods for its customers and provides more than 580 jobs.

In turn, JSC «Uralorgsintez» is a significant petrochemical enterprise in the Perm Region, which has modern technologies, stable production and quality products, a close-knit workforce of more than 900 employees, and also actively supports environmental and social projects.
