HOSPITABLE URAL

On February 15, 2020 the city of Chaykovsky (Perm Territory) hosted winter competitions among the enterprises of the EKTOS Group, the «Chaykovsky winter 2020.» They were attended by teams of OJSC «EKTOS-Volga» (city of Volzhsky, Volgograd region) and JSC «Uralorgsintez» (city of Chaykovsky, Perm Territory).

Having arrived in Chaykovsky a day ahead of the competitions, the members of OJSC «EKTOS-Volga» visited a JSC «Uralorgsintez» plant, where they were able to see the main production workshops, take a look inside the operator rooms, talk with colleagues, and visit the plant museum.

Managing Director of JSC «Uralorgsintez» Viktor Fomenko and Chairman of the primary union organization Sergey Polunin welcomed the participants during the competitions grand opening, wishing for the event to be honest and tough.

The competitions were being held in three disciplines: chess, soccer, and basketball (streetball).

We must hand it to the athletes: despite a great desire to win, the competitions between the teams of both enterprises were extremely clean. They managed to avoid injuries that usually result from these sports. The game was perfectly described by the words of Managing Director of JSC «Uralorgsintez» Viktor Fomenko: «Victory is certainly important, but the main goal of these competitions is to unite the team spirit of the enterprises’ teams.»

After two 20 minute halves of the indoor soccer match, the JSC «Uralorgsintez» turned out to be luckier — the host team took the lead in the very first minutes and ended the game with a score of 3:1. The consolation goal was scored by Denis Snegovoy, the forward of the OJSC «EKTOS-Volga».

The chess competition was no less intense. Teams of three were competing for the best team and personal score in a Round Robin tournament. The players of the JSC «Uralorgsintez» were the strongest with the best team score of 7:3. And among the singles competition stands out the personal best of Damir Khamadiev, a JSC «Uralorgsintez» player who didn’t lose a single game.

The streetball match became the big finish of the «Chaykovsky winter 2020.» Both three player teams on one half of the basketball court demonstrated a good game and the JSC «Uralorgsintez» team was victorious with a score of 23:13.

Concluding the competitions, Viktor Fomenko thanked the athletes for the spectacle, and awarded cups and prizes to the victors and competition winners.

The EKTOS Group wholeheartedly supports the sports traditions of its member enterprises. The competitions «Chaykovsky winter» and «Volzhsky Fall» serve a motivation for employees to regularly exercise and play sports, as well as strengthen the internal corporate connections between JSC «Uralorgsintez,» and OJSC «EKTOS-Volga.»
